  Re: 10183 postponed?

(...) On the plus side, it does seem to run on older hardware. I could only run 1.6 on my wife's laptop which she bought last year. Last night, I was able to install and run 2.0 on my 5+ year old machine. -Elroy (20 years ago, 22-Mar-07, to lugnet.cad.ldd)

  Re: 10183 postponed?

(...) Unfortunately, LDD 2.0 no longer runs on earlier versions of Windows. LDD 1.6 ran quite happily under Windows 2000, but the new version crashes as soon as you place a brick. It's also a bit mean to write off all the previously uploaded models. (...) (20 years ago, 22-Mar-07, to lugnet.cad.ldd, lugnet.trains)

  Re: 10183 Plans

  Re: 10183 Plans

(...) Worked like a charm! Thank you. Now...can we save these 2.0 files into LDraw like we could with 1.6? First attempt with simply apending .ldr to the file name in a 'save as' yield run errors in MLCAD. Joseph (20 years ago, 22-Mar-07, to lugnet.cad)

  Re: 10183 Plans

  10183 Plans

It has been posted that the 10183 plans are supposed to be available on the 23rd...but they are currently shown on the LDD site with a download button. When I try to download one, something pops up on my screen, makes a sound and goes away. When my (...) (20 years ago, 21-Mar-07, to lugnet.cad)

  Re: Sneekpreview on animation software

(...) Screen space is a bit of a problem indeed, it runs out very fast :) That's why I support dual (or even more in theory) screens. But every screen can also have multiple desktops, and for each desktop you can choose from 'windowed' or 'tabbed' (...) (20 years ago, 21-Mar-07, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  Re: Sneekpreview on animation software

Re: What's new in LDD 2.0?

(...) So far I think that may be the only thing. I only see 8-10 % CPU. So much for wishing they would have improved LDD with all the recommendations they got. Back to Ldraw again for me. (20 years ago, 21-Mar-07, to lugnet.cad.ldd)

Re: What's new in LDD 2.0?

(...) It is significantly faster and less of a hog. Apparently some people are running into graphic card problems but it's a huge, huge, huge improvement of 1.6. Featurewise 2.0 has a lot of cute things like right-click view rotation and other (...) (20 years ago, 21-Mar-07, to lugnet.cad.ldd)

  What's new in LDD 2.0?

Anyone figured out what the differences are between LDD 1.6 and 2.0? Does it still hog every available CPU cycle? --Bram (20 years ago, 21-Mar-07, to lugnet.cad.ldd)
