And I stand behind that 100%, it was a true and valid point and still is. And
the fact that my post was spotlighted shows others agreed with me. But I will
say you both are not out of control at this given point in time.
But I have questioned your views of Lugnet and its rules more than a few times.
I am not going to waste time going back and touching upon them all but rather
give two recent examples:

While .general is sometimes seen as the main newsgroup of Lugnet, it should be
noted that posts are on topic for .general only if there is not a better
newsgroup for them to go in.
As I pointed out in my reply this is just not true. I was really looking forward
to a reply to my post so you could clear up this blatantly obvious contradiction
of your words and the charter for .general.

If Lugnet is about LEGO, and LEGO MOCs in particular, I think added weight to
MOCs is a fair. Especially since the only messages to really gain spotlights
are MOCs or flame-wars.
First off, Lugnet is about the community in particular. True, MOCs are a part of
the community, but not about MOCs in particular. But if that limited view is how
you see Lugnet that is fine with me. But the reason I posted that quote is your
statement about the flame wars being the only posts (other than MOCs) to gain
spotlights. Take a look what is currently on the spotlight list. I see no flame
wars, but I do see a post about a truly great Lego event and TLC reaching out to
us for help as in a poll and a follow-up questions. I am very saddened to see
that you see Lugnet as a flame war place - this is just not true in any way!
Lugnet is a community, and with every single community (as well as every single
family) sometimes tempers rise and disagreements come up. Does this mean the
community is going to die? Not in any way! In fact, just the opposite is true -
it means it is a healthy community that is made up of different people that have
different views at times. This is part of the thing we call life.
And if you (or any other Lugnet Admin) have at any time thought I had something
personal against you, or did not like them on a personal level you could not be
more wrong. I am very sorry if you ever felt this way. Yes I did and do question
your views on a few things, but that is not a reflection on my personal views of
you.
At any rate - I wish you happiness and hope at some point your views of things
turn into the half full viewpoint.
