(...) Pust, jobbet tar en del på krafterna ibland! En fin bild på mikro-staden från SWELUG7 vore fint att ha med, ligger det någon sådan någonstans? Maila gärna mig en, den som har!   Micro continues to impress, plus thanks, Janey!

Watch the galleries for pics of the outstanding micro creations that appeared at this year's BrickFest. Once again, the creations were incredible! There was even a tiny bit of spillover this year as the National Trust competition included a number (...) (20 years ago, 17-Aug-05, to lugnet.build.microscale)

BrickFest coverage in Seattle and Dallas

A story about BrickFest made it to the second page of the Seattle Times featuring a picture of the Taj Mahal (8/16/05). Also, a brief story ran on the news in Dallas according to my family, there. Ashley Glennon (20 years ago, 17-Aug-05, to lugnet.events.brickfest, lugnet.mediawatch)

LEGO factory: protection for my designs?

Hi guys, Great to hear the announcements about LEGO factory at Brickfest. I have a question though: If someone takes my design and enters it at the LEGO factory, is there any avenue for me to protest about it? Especially if a design is very popular (...)   Re: Vance Quantum line at LEGO Factory?

(...) That's a good question. The answer is...I don't know. I haven't really thought about it. I for sure want to expand more on the Quantum sub-theme with more characters and vehicles. I don't know how the whole lego factory thing works and how you (...) (20 years ago, 17-Aug-05, to lugnet.space, FTX)

  Re: All plastic track

(...) Actually, that's a very good point. I was using L Gauge to refer to anything that uses the track gauge (distance between rails, obviously) currently used for both the Play and Hobby trains. But I don't pretend to think that I should be (...) (20 years ago, 17-Aug-05, to lugnet.trains, FTX)

  Re: Two Usb towers

Just as a point of reference -- My latest creation has 7 motors, requiring 3 RCX's. All the high-level logic is written in Python and runs on my laptop. I communicate with the bricks through a single usb tower, using simple file I/O. The open call (...) (20 years ago, 17-Aug-05, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: All plastic track

In lugnet.trains, Jake McKee wrote: snip snip (...) Just to clarify Jake, will you be referring to both (Play and Hobby) as L gauge? That would make sense to me as they are all the same gauge. But it might confuse "real" train modellers - when we (...) (20 years ago, 17-Aug-05, to lugnet.trains, FTX)

  Re: All plastic track

(...) Personally I think the play train is a fantastic idea. It will be a great way to lower cost while providing opportunities for new parts, ideas and a new younger audience. Now some of you are worried about the death of the 9volt train set but (...) (20 years ago, 17-Aug-05, to lugnet.trains, FTX)

Will the Lego Factory be available in australia?

  Re: All plastic track

Jake- I haven't quite figured out why I am more concerned about the recent track announcements than most other LTC types I have spoken with. Certainly there's not much anxiety with SCLTC (and even some enthusiasm) as I check in with members. (That (...) (20 years ago, 17-Aug-05, to lugnet.trains, FTX)

  Re: All plastic track

(...) Sorry, not trying to be dense, I swear. :) Now, to be sure I understand... when you say "metal rail sets", are you referring LEGO Train sets (the big boxes) that include the metal rails AND a model all in one box? Sets like the High Speed or (...) (20 years ago, 17-Aug-05, to lugnet.trains, FTX)

  Re: All plastic track

(...) Actually, this may be the best thing in years for retailers. We're looking at ways that they'd be able to easily get sets from consumer creators like you, if they like your design. Jake --- Jake McKee Community Liaison LEGO Community Team (20 years ago, 17-Aug-05, to lugnet.trains, FTX)
