Thats a good question. The answer is...I dont know. I havent really
thought about it. I for sure want to expand more on the Quantum sub-theme
with more characters and vehicles. I dont know how the whole lego factory
thing works and how you would sell your creations (Ive had a hard enough
time to build on a somewhat regular basis let alone keep up on whats
happening on the internet in regards to LEGO).

Well, here it is in a nutshell: you download the free LEGO Designer software
(which will soon be available for both Mac and Windows), which is a CAD program
you can use to design models virtually, using a restricted but hopefully
adequate palette of parts. Then you upload this design to the LEGO web site,
and its available for purchase, either by you or by others. As I understand
it, it will come in a box and Ive even heard hints that you will be able to
customize the box design. Building instructions will be automatically generated
(I think), and will be available only online at first, but again there were
hints that theyre looking into the possibility of printed instructions too.

Are you thinking micro-scale, like the new factory sets that came out, or
mini-fig scale?
|
Mini-fig scale -- exactly the Quantum Manor and the spaceship you posted
recently. Theyre beautiful works of art and look to me to have plenty of play
value. Of course the part restrictions will get in your way here or there, but
perhaps you could offer (on a web site or something) tips on making the models
even cooler with parts available on BrickLink.
Best,
- Joe
