As far as I was aware (according to TLG) the new Technic Supercar 8448 was not due to be available until September 1999. But I got this set yesterday - 1st August - and have started building!! Can anyone tell me if this is a first or it is already (...) (25 years ago, 2-Aug-99, to lugnet.build)

It may not even be an RCX problem. I've found that all my Lego motors run better in one direction than the other. Has got to do with the magnetisation of the pole pieces, I believe. Does L3P handle the special LDLITE-style commands like ROTATE and TRANSLATE? I tried to render a model with these commands the other day, but they got ignored by L3P. So I wonder if I simply need to upgrade to a newer L3P or if it doesn't handle (...) (25 years ago, 1-Aug-99, to lugnet.cad)

I did some more experimenting today and it turns out that output A is weak in reverse, normal in forward and output B behaves in the opposite manner. Is there a web site that has Mindstorms Challenges similar to what comes with the RIS? The ones that come with the RIS aren't very difficult, and I feel there should be more than 12.
