Re: Super Chief Pleasure Dome...another one

(...) It has caused me a lot of problems, as the friction increase in my experience has been a lot more than "slight"... problems including bogie pins wearing out, shearing off, and in general leaving a lot more plastic dust around, as well as (...) (21 years ago, 5-Mar-05, to lugnet.trains, FTX)

Re: Super Chief Pleasure Dome...another one

(...) The other way to strengthen it is to add another 2x4 technic plate above that one, at 90 degrees. It does increase the friction slightly on the bogie pin, but that's never caused me any problems to date. ROSCO (21 years ago, 5-Mar-05, to lugnet.trains, FTX)

Re: Super Chief Pleasure Dome...another one

(...) Hey James I just looked at your dome car and its a really nice. I still like the first one you made. Although this one did give me an idea on new dome. I took the dome off of your car and made a new one. (deep link) (URL) used the 2x2 round (...) (21 years ago, 5-Mar-05, to lugnet.trains, FTX)

Re: Super Chief Pleasure Dome...another one

(...) Nice work. I am glad that my truck design stood you in good stead and that you were able to suss it out from the pics I posted. That's a nice circle, you posted a new idea, I cribbed from it and you cribbed back! How it is supposed to work. (...) (21 years ago, 5-Mar-05, to lugnet.trains, FTX)

I looks like the new set has everything it needs for a good suspension, but has no shocks. Why would TLC design it that way? Those suspension pieces hold more weight than the suspension on the Silver Champion or the Super Street Sensation. So why (...) (21 years ago, 5-Mar-05, to lugnet.technic)

Re: I weep for the Lego User Group Network

(...) I hear you. I used to dial up lugnet right after I got home from work each day to see what was new. Now, what's new seldom interests me so its not high on my list of things to do. I work backwards from brickshelf to see if something cool that (...) (21 years ago, 5-Mar-05, to lugnet.general, FTX)

  Re: X-Wing Mark IV

Wow, now that is an X-wing! Great write up too. Beefy and the construction looks well done. I was thinking that the canopy looked a little small for the scale, but I guess that can't be helped. Either way, wow, great job! e (21 years ago, 5-Mar-05, to lugnet.space)

Re: YAAC (Yet another air car)

(...) What a MOC on the top stories list with no replies!?! I'll take a moment, because I think this MOC is cool! The seat back in that cokpit is so very cool, I'm glad I took a closer look and even more happier that you sharred it. I dig the front (...) (21 years ago, 5-Mar-05, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: Downtown Disney Lego Store being renovated

  Super Chief Pleasure Dome...another one

It's another dome car. Another try. I'm not completely satisfied with this design, but here is a try at a non-curved-window (URL) Pullman-Standard dome with full instructions>.   I weep for the Lego User Group Network

I weep in sadness for LUGNET. I feel sad that a majority of people here only come out to opnionate themselves and leave honest builders and their efforts ignored. I weep for what could be. I am sad for the loss of what I had hoped this place to be. (...) (21 years ago, 5-Mar-05, to lugnet.general, FTX)
