Re: 10025 Santa Fe Cars I - just received them!!

(...) Based on seeing the preproduction prototypes, I assert they are not that color. I would characterise them as being somewhat metallicised or iridescent, the plastic is a bit translucent to a small depth and there are flecks or sparkles in. I (...) (22 years ago, 7-Aug-02, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: Santa Fe cars

(...) I am fine to think about answering some questions. The afore mentioned Fallen Flags site for The Super Chief shows several listings of wagon types for The Super Chief train: (URL)In my eyes it would be satisfieing enough to order just 7 (or (...) (22 years ago, 7-Aug-02, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: Santa Fe cars

(...) I believe, it shoul be possible to (almost) build our own ones from 10022 (and spare parts from 10025?). (...) My suggestion would be mail - bagage - sleeper - dining - sleeper - observation. Of course this would take two sleeping cars, so you (...) (22 years ago, 7-Aug-02, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: Santa Fe cars

(...) Yes - at least at 1000steine this has been discussed. Maybe we should ask James Mathis for background information? In my eyes it would be satisfieing enough to order just 7 (or more) waggons [1] then build the mailcar or sleeping car 2 times (...) (22 years ago, 7-Aug-02, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: MOC: 4-6-4 Hudson

(...) Thanks, Mattias. (...) I'll try and take some pictures within the next week or so. Sadly, everything's been tucked in neat little boxes for the past two weeks, since we just moved into a new house and the setup of the LEGO room (yay!) is (...) (22 years ago, 7-Aug-02, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: Santa Fe cars

(...) That was true in the Metroliner, there wasn't a pure sitting car, there was always tables,or beds. With a few alterations, i'm going to make the club car into a Dome Car with the left over pieces. But in a long train, I imagine that not many (...) (22 years ago, 7-Aug-02, to lugnet.trains)

(...) [Snip] (...) In the mosaic, there is just a colour that looks like two parts of the well known 'normal' grey and one part of white. (...) Seen that on your box scans a few minutes ago.   Re: 10025 Santa Fe Cars I - just received them!!

(...) Hi I think you can say, they have kind of a "metallic glow" to them. Sorry, I don't have the mosaic set. End windows are in a 2 x 2 black panel, where you "push in" the blue windows, just like you do on the train doors. In other words... It's (...) (22 years ago, 7-Aug-02, to lugnet.trains)

Re: 10025 Santa Fe Cars I - just received them!!

(...) [Snip] (...) Thanks a lot for these informations! The new colour had been described as new kind of 'silver' (in the first spy-shots that appeared at 1000steine) so I expected some metallic effect as we know it from some of the late technic (...) (22 years ago, 7-Aug-02, to lugnet.trains)

Re: 10025 Santa Fe Cars I - just received them!!

(...) Hi Ben Just uploaded some pictures of the box and stickers. Can be seen here: (URL) to mention, that there are 2 instruction books in this set. One is marked 10025-1 (builds the bagage car), the other one is 10025-2 (mail car). The silver (...) (22 years ago, 7-Aug-02, to lugnet.trains) !

(...) Hi Ben I suppose you mean those 1 x 2 bricks, that are in a little bit different color, than light grey? The colour is new to me, so it does looks a little strange. But I think they are fine. Just takes a little time to get used to the new (...) (22 years ago, 7-Aug-02, to lugnet.trains)
