This MOC is a celebration of our own Dan Rubin's recent passage of the BAR examination. Although I'm hesitant to celebrate the addition of another lawyer to our already burdoned society, at least he's one of our own. (URL) As always, I offer you two (...)   Eastern Block Space Patroller

The Eastern-Block's "Red Bear", pictured here with some well-aged but tried-and-true support vehicles, has been long-feared by X-1 Patrol Craft pilots. This heavy-duty vessel, bristling with high-powered weaponry made to incinerate Galaxy Explorer (...) (18 years ago, 13-Jan-07, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build, lugnet.announce.moc, FTX)

Re: Classic Space Fly-In at BrickFest PDX

(...) Matt, yeah, this is a great idea! I've sent you an e-mail of sets that I can bring. Can't wait to see the entire CS menagerie together. This will be cool. -best, Wolf (18 years ago, 11-Jan-07, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: Classic Space Fly-In at BrickFest PDX

This idea is fantastic. I think people will be surprised at how much Space there really is. I can't wait to see it (in photos . . . I can't go to PDX). (18 years ago, 11-Jan-07, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Classic Space Fly-In at BrickFest PDX

This year at BrickFest in Portland we will be doing something a little different. We will attempt to display every single Space set, 1979-1999, Classic through Insectoids, in one giant and beautiful layout. So we need you to bring a few of your (...)   Re: Mini Space Buggy

The model and your description made me chuckle insanely. I love those small wheels. Good to see you rejuvenating the .space! (18 years ago, 8-Jan-07, to lugnet.space, FTX)

  Blacktron from the Big Easy

This is what can happen when a cajun Blacktron operative acquires a space scooter (set 885), and he beefs it up. He's ready to drop in for Mardi Gras and binge on all those wonderful beignets, crawfish et tu fe and really stiff drinks. -best, Wolf (...) (18 years ago, 8-Jan-07, to lugnet.space, FTX) !

  Re: New Space Sets!

(...) Yeah, I definitely agree with the opinion that a return to exploration-based space sets would be cool. Should have been something like "Mars Mission 2025", pehaps with a modular interplanetary vessel (big set), maybe some robot support (...) (18 years ago, 8-Jan-07, to lugnet.space, FTX)

  Re: New Space Sets!

(...) The dropship looks good, I'll need to reserve final judgment on the rest until seeing better pictures. As others have said, I'd hoped for a more "exploration" based theme, rather than more space-fantasy conflict. But at least it's space. Kelly (18 years ago, 8-Jan-07, to lugnet.space, FTX)

  Re: New Space Sets!

(...) Looks like a rehash of the Life On Mars sets. How disappointing. :-( Jeff (18 years ago, 8-Jan-07, to lugnet.space, FTX)

  Re: New Space Sets!

I'm feeling a bit underwhelmed, personally. I loved the classic Space sets way back, of course, and was quite fond of the NASA/Discovery line a few years ago. I'd really like to see some Space sets with a more realistic near-future space exploration (...) (18 years ago, 7-Jan-07, to lugnet.space, FTX)

  Re: New Space Sets!

Indeed! Hard to tell from these pictures but it looks like most of the sets contain very little of the new colors, which makes me VERY happy! Giant wheels in orange?! SWEET. The new 1/4 saucer bricks are intriguing as well. Seems that the Bionicle (...) (18 years ago, 7-Jan-07, to lugnet.space, FTX)

  Re: New Space Sets!

(...) I was hoping for an updated Galaxy Explorer in red, and a gatling-armed Mobile Lab with a trans-red windshiled, but these Mars sets do look interesting. Some of them are very alien, which I think is cool. That there's a battle going on works (...) (18 years ago, 7-Jan-07, to lugnet.space, FTX)

  New Space Sets!

(URL) Mars Mission> Some of those look awesome, some look like awesome parts packs. I would guess all of those are not finalized prototypes with the possible exception of 7699 MT-101 Armored Drilling Unit. That one actually has the peice count on (...)   Re: WW2 era Steam powered airship

  Re: Classic Space Rocket Train

(...) Tony, thanks much for the nice words, and thanks much for the MOC Highlight. That was an excellent surprise. Long wheelbase: Good eye! I've only tried the passenger car on curves via pushing the train by hand, and it seems to do ok. It (...) (18 years ago, 5-Jan-07, to lugnet.space, lugnet.trains, FTX)
