Thanks for sharing these with those of us who couldn't make it to BF2006.
These are a couple of the most impressive moon bases modules I've seen!

Thanks!  I think sometimes the smaller moonbase modules get lost between the
supermodules, so it's nice to hear that!  Have you been to a fest with a
moonbase?  I think the last time I saw you was the first Brickswest, but I could
be misremembering.

When I saw the name Earth Memory Moonbase, I thought, "Oh my!  Is this a
world in which the Earth has been destroyed or somehow become
uninhabitable?" I guess the text description doesn't rule that out, but
maybe that's not the angle you were going for.

Well, the module basically came out of the desire to build a globe and then
incorporate it into a MOC to make it a little bit more than just a globe.  I
suppose it doesn't make much sense to have a big Earth model on our moon, but
maybe it's on a different moon around another planet.  I sure hope the future
doesn't hold an Earth less habitable than the Moon!

The micro moonbase design is also great and very well realized.  Do you have
a photo that shows off the inner glow on the spheres?

The lights are on in the first and second photos.  They would probably show up a
bit better with a little less ambient light.  However, they really help the
windows stand from a distance...otherwise with no bright bricks behind the
trans-red, the trans red just disappears into blackness.
