Sorry for prolonging this, but a few things in the post below trouble me.
I have no vested interest in Sci-Brick, nor do I have a specific problem with
any of the parties involved, but when I detect illogic, and stated aims in
disparity with actions and their results, questions arise.

So you say, but I really can't see how posting such a message can be in support
of the org, when a) you quit it in obviously bad circumstances b) there seems to
be no clear need for such a post and c) you had no authority from the org to
speak on it's behalf.
The results speak for themselves. Supoprt sci-brick? Apparently not. In fact you
seem to have a very particular bone to pick as evidenced by other posts in the
thread. What were your motives, really?

I believe the exact words were "There is some information in it that is no
longer true." This is bound to happen in year old information and hardly
constitues a change of mission. Apart from the aforementioned event kits thing,
the links you posted are dead (or at least dormant). Seems Lenny was right.

Again, the admission of error without apology of attempt at rectification. Are
you really trying "to do something nice for the group"?

Dude, you ceased having sole ownership of the idea the moment the second person
joined. It's nigh on impossible to form a group of creative people and expect
everyone to unquestioningly do your bidding just because it's 'your idea'. If
that's what you expected, no wonder you're disappointed.

Too late.

I thought a communications officer WAS just a spokesman.
That said, since you are clearly upset that certain people 'hijacked' your
'vision', it seems to me that your problem is not so much the existence of a
King of Sci-Brick as much that it's not you.

I understand the benifits of a certain amount of exclusiveness, and the desire
to keep the standars high, but it can be taken too far.
If you restrict membership only to those with collection or models over a
certain size, you're going to severely limit where and when you can exhibit. If
the group desires national coverage, then it certainly helps to have at least
someone reasonably local. Chances are they're not gonna have a collection as big
as yours, but since when has collection size been an indicator of building
talent, or ability to organise a show? Do you really think only large models are
worthy of exhibiting?

Illogical.

It doesn't appear to me that this has changed. Brickfest is about as inclusiive
as you can get, and you can't tell me that it is anything but impressive. I
can't see how Sci-Brick can be anything but enriched by a more open membership
policy.

By quitting? Interesting theory.
Let it go mate. It's not your baby anymore, by your own choice. Go build
something.
