* As written to a friend asking what the heck is going on:

I wrote~

Well, I quit SciBrick after Brick Fest. I posted something in my compter that I
had for a while that I wrote about SciBrick. I forgot I posted it already a year
ago. Then because I was no longer a member of SciBrick it was out of line. Thing
was I put in the beginning of the post, "In support of:"

Then when I realized it was a duplicate post and and Lenny asked me to remove
the post because I was not a member, reluctanly I was gonna comply. Then he
tells me they changed the mission of the group and I said oh really?

Then I stand by the core principles of why the group was formed. The post stays.
It will illustrate why I left when he challanges it.

Its a damn dumb thing that got out of control.

I wrote that it was my over zealous attempt to do something nice for the group.

Awhile back Lenny had asked me to write something about shows and how to do
them. How to get started. Mistakenly I thought it was that document, in the
process offending Lenny.

In the end I don't feel the need to ask anyone's persmission to explain my own
idea.
SciBrick.

oh boy.

Further more this sheds some light on what happened. I don't want to exaspirate
the situation by pointing fingers and whinning about all the BS that went on.
Fact is I never supported the notion of a Comms officer. The collective will of
the group could be funneled through a spokesman, but having a King of SciBrick
who makes and breaks rules and goals is totalitarian.

(Aww man, Marc Help me uout with my spelling...I need it)

"Really, in having my own good idea stolen from me by people who don't want to
work with me is the real crime.

Have fun with my idea. I know it will work.

Here's the real issue, or one of them.

Get some balls. Kick out the *ucks that have no good MOCS and don't want to
pound the pavement looking for exhibits.

I sought out the heavy hitters. People who have giant *ucking MOCS and
experience in showing them publicly.

SciBrick became a mercy party and buddy club.

You know it. I know it and so do some other key people.

SciBrick was ment as a serious org. People who want to show their work. People
who have ammassed the collections and the skill to pull of impressive shows.

Look, the org got off to a bad start when it allowed people with no intention or
ability to exhibit on a world class level to be "grandfathered" in. Just because
I pitched the idea to everyone didn't mean it was for everyone there.

Cut the bullsh!t and make it happen. Figure out who has the *ucking mocs that
rock and pool their a$$es up and do some shows.

Make something of my idea. Hijack it and I'll be right there to protect it.

(...) Eric, This specifically is something I disagree with. People with "no good MOCs" are people who could use some help getting better. People who "dont want to pound the pavement looking for exhibits" have lives outside of LEGO and should be able (...) (20 years ago, 24-Oct-04, to lugnet.org.scibrick)

One last thing and then I'm done for the next few days.. I need a break from Lugnet and all.. again, if anyone wants to contact me privately about this, you can email me. Please feel free - but I'm beginning to lose my composure and so I'm gonna (...) (20 years ago, 24-Oct-04, to lugnet.org.scibrick)

Sorry for prolonging this, but a few things in the post below trouble me. I have no vested interest in Sci-Brick, nor do I have a specific problem with any of the parties involved, but when I detect illogic, and stated aims in disparity with actions (...) (...) I would like everyone to know that Eric Sophie is no longer a member of SciBrick, and his post (albeit a repost of a message that went out a year ago) is not endorsed by SciBrick's leadership nor its membership (that I am aware of). There is (...) (20 years ago, 22-Oct-04, to lugnet.org.scibrick, FTX) !!
