Well, in this instance I tracked down the guy whom I was told was responsible
for LEGO software development and what he told me was that based on what I had
said (complained about) that I would really like the next version.

Anyway, I also understand why TLC produces software that is language indepedent
(minimal requirement that the user must read), but that doesn't mean the result
is very usable. I remember when Mindstorms came out and we needed to program
something for a project. My kids who are rather bright and I gave up in total
frustration trying to get the built-in software development system to let us
write code to do what we wanted. After wasting an afternoon, I took 3 hours to
write an OCE driver in a standard language and we were up and running (two
automated swapping trains around a Christmas tree for a charity event) the next
day.

I understand why Lego Creator/LDD/whatever has a different interface, same as why I understand the Mindstorms interface is the way it is versus similar to a regular IDE like VisualStudio (eg BricXCC). When I see kids use the Mindstorms "block (...) (19 years ago, 31-Aug-05, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)
