Recently I downloaded and installed a Simpsons desktop theme, and in the process I changed the opening image on my PC from the Windows default logo to a frankly rather lame Simpsons graphic. This post is obviously inspired from some of the MOCs I've seen be Shaun Sullivan. He has made some very cool WWII halftrack models. I finally got the plot to work by printing to file on my own machine (much faster than the machine hooked up to the plotter), with the "Use memory in (...) Hey Bram, Sorry I didn't get into this thread before. What print driver are you using? Are you trying to spool the whole image over first, or printing while the file sends? (...) From some test prints, I saw that the DPI isn't going to matter very much, so I went with 250 DPI to save some rendering time. However, it's taking almost as long to print as it did to render. (...) All depends on your viewing distance... If it's a poster to hang on the wall, intended to be viewed at 5 feet away or more, you can easily get away with 150x150 dpi, and often 75x75 dpi. Several people have in the last year reported problems with getting access to www.ldraw.org. The reason for this problem appears to be that the default "time-to-live" (TTL) for TCP packets is too low. I have now recieved confirmation that this is (...)
