Your comment strongly disagrees with LEGO's marketing department.

I don't believe that Lego marketing could convince people to buy rain coats
while it was raining.

Regardless of their level of skill and expertise, they can and will put the word
LEGEND on top of a box if they want to.

The grey issue is a minor change due to part availability.

Changing a color that has been used in your product for over 30 years is
most certainly NOT minor.

The change to this set IS minor. This thread is about the new legend, and the
slightly changed grey is a minor change in this set.

The color change in general is a big change, but that's not what this thread is
about.

If you think that the new light grey has barely changed then I can only
assume that you haven't even seen it in person.

Well, do I have some new gray and I keep it in a box away from all of my old
gray parts.

New light gray is not much different than old light gray and a classic space
legend would not be ruined by it unless you are only buying it to part out and
mix with your old grays. If that would be your intent, then the legend would be
useless. However, it would still look good on it's own.

The new color makes the old color look terrible.

Wouldn't that suggest that the new color is better?

Regardless, a legend would not mix old and new gray together, so that comment
has nothing to do with a legend being ruined.

The colors look terrible with all the existing Lego colors I have compared
them to (which is all of them).  This model would be no exception.

I disagree. I thought my Harry Potter sets looked great in the new grays. The
non-gray colors looked fine next to the grays.
