Yup. At least one set has had slightly
variable contents. It wasn’t bundled with any other sets, it didn’t have any
instruction/idea booklets, and it barely had any TECHNIC connectors, so it
wasn’t very useful as a stand-alone set, but you got BIONICLE parts at about 2.8
cents each, so kids (especially those with small collections) couldn’t get
enough of them (literally, since they were a TRU exclusive, limited to six
copies per store, and scalpers were cleaning them off the shelves).
