Spurred by a recent discussion in loc-Sweden, I'll like to take this 4 year old
thread up again.
I've identified 13 different kind of LEGO figs (not counting Galidor and
Bionicle):
1974: The "round-head" big-figs without lower body (what do we call them?)
1976: The first minifigs, the "Stiffies"
1977: The first DUPLO figs (also "Stiffs")
1977: The first real minifigs
1978: The first Fabuland figs
1983: The first appearance of the present articulated DUPLO figs
1986: The first Technic figs
1986: The first appearance (in set 330) of the strange BASIC set half-figs
(crossbreed between DUPLO Stiffs and Roundheads??)
1994: The first Belville figs
1997: The first PRIMO figs
1998: The first SCALA figs
2001: The first (and only) DUPLO Dolls
2001: - and the very first appearance of our own hero, Jack Stone
So, is the list correct, or have I forgotten some?
In the previous thread, nothing was mentioned about the DUPLO figs, which I
think is a shame, as they:
- have both children and grandparents
- have different colors and races
- always have bathrooms and toilets in their houses
- have farms with crops and animals
- have always had green clothes
By the way, check Hanne Wieners excellent database of DUPLO figs:

kind regards
