I also have a problem with Minifig Genetics.  For example why are the following
true.

1.  Only women have Red Hair.

Not so!  The Royal King and the Black Knight among others are red-haired
men.

On the other hand, everyone with red hair wears it long...and everyone
with blonde or grey hair wears it short!

2.  All women are born with and must wear lipstick.

Again, not so...look at the Dark Forest Chick in the Bandit Ambush set.
(OK, it could be a young lad as well, but I think it's a girl!)

Before the invention of lipstick and facial hair, of course, female
minifigs looked identical to the men.  But even now, there are examples of
some non-lipsticked females (one of the 'alternates' on Town Folk, if I
remember right, has the ponytail hair and the 'eyebrow smilie' face for a
distinctly feminine look.)

3.  All Minifigs no matter what the age are the same size.
4.  All Minifigs have a gruesome bump on top of their head.
5.  All Minifigs have elbows that don't bend.

And hands that don't move!

6.  Male Minifigs outnumber Female Minifigs by about an 80% to 20% ratio.
7.  Depression is none existant (just look at all the smiles)

Except in the Wild West, Feudal Japan, and some other Medieval periods.

(Hmm...all of which are recent...maybe the minifigs suffered from pay cuts
inspired by TLC's financial problems?  That would also explain the
preponderance of theft as a means of wealth aquisition in LEGO themes...)

8.  Some figs have microphones or glasses perminantly attached to their heads.
9.  Minifigs have no knee's.
10. Minifigs can stand for ages in the same position and not get tired.

They can also have their limbs and even heads ripped off and replaced
without seeming any the worse for the wear.  Oh, and they have to change
bodies to change clothes...

(...) What I want to know is what happened to the now extinct "Biggus Bendyarmicus"? They do share some resemblance to "Technicus Maximus" in terms of size but otherwise this spieces seems to have disappeared even though an occasional arm segment (...) (24 years ago, 9-Mar-00, to lugnet.general)
