I see your point Larry. But the Expert Builder site isn't journalism...
it's a guerilla marketing campaign. :)

I tried to set low expectations. I am not out to deceive anyone, just give
a chance for other voices to be heard. It's really just a rinky dink little
site getting 20 or 30 hits a day. I'm hard pressed to figure out why you
guys are all so interested in it.

Due to the closure of LEGO Canada, and poor selection on local retail
shelves, I have to tell you that LEGO has become something of a luxary item
for me in the last year. Obtaining it means spending much more money than
before and going to greater effort. My most recent purchase was reluctantly
made via eBay. The result, a mint condition 8030 Expert Builder Universal
Building Set. The sad part? I paid less for it on eBay that I would have
been willing to pay if that same set were in a store. I would love to buy
more sets and give up close and personal reviews.... but the company makes
this difficult, if sometimes impossible.
Again, I sincerely encourage people to post favorable reviews of the Jack
Stone series, or any other LEGO products, to the appropriate newsgroup or
location on LUGNET. This site is here for legitimate reviews. My site
exists to provide street-level customer feedback.
Regards,
Allan B.
