I'm no expert so take my advice at face value, which = zero. I was taking a look at your ground fog renders and noticed something that I felt was odd. I actually own the first book (Lego Modelers: Amazing Animals) and IMHO they use the same technique as the instructions for Jack Stone and Bionical sets. A while back I developed a program to inline all the subparts in a model. I did this since I have a tendency to create models with 30+ subparts and subparts imbedded in subparts. It's very tedious to find and inline all these subparts so I wrote a (...) (22 years ago, 11-Feb-03, to lugnet.cad)

Ok, it turns out I wasn't imagining things. 3855.DAT, Glass window 1 x 4 x 3 is either modelled incorrectly or the part being used for the glass pains in the 6390 Main Street kit is listed incorrectly at peeron.com. Hi Rob - I suggest you just export the POV file from L3PAO, and open it in POV 3.5 manually, instead of trying to render from L3PAO. Doing that works just fine for me. You may want to tweak a few things in the POV code, and may need to set your (...) (22 years ago, 6-Feb-03, to lugnet.cad.ray)

I guess the bump on the glass just wasn't showing up in my mlcad views. Once rendered, however, they were there. The peeron parts lists specifies that there are: 7 3855 Clear Glass for Window 1 x 4 x 3 (Ref) Looking at the model manual (I do not have the original model), it appears to me that there are two distinct window glasses here, neither of which match (...) These two dat files seem to be labelled with the same title while one is actually a T as opposed to a straight road piece. One of them didn't show up in mlcad until I searched for it in the parts file and changed the description. Just a heads up. (22 years ago, 5-Feb-03, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)
