K-Mart (US) 30% off clearance LEGO

one week special, started on Sunday Aug 29th, ends Saturday Sep 4th. All clearance'd toys (including LEGO) are an additional 30% off (from the clearance price). No idea if this is regional or nationwide. I observed this in KM stores in 3 states thus (...) (14 years ago, 31-Aug-10, to lugnet.market.shopping)

Re: LEGOLAND California Ambassador Class 2010 BI

(...) Normally, one would have to be a LEGOLAND Ambassador Pass passholder, and sign up for the master builder session. I have asked whether the BI can be shared with Adult LEGO Enthusiasts, and I'm waiting to hear back. You should be warned, (...) (14 years ago, 31-Aug-10, to lugnet.cad)

  Re: LDConfig_Alt.ldr

(...) It's also a good idea to make all lights but one 'shadowless' so you don't have the spotlight effect of crossing shadows. I often put a shadowless light at the point of the camera, to make sure everything we see is reached by *some* light. (14 years ago, 29-Aug-10, to lugnet.cad)

  Re: 87926 White Cylinder Half 3 x 6 x 6 with 1 x 2 cutout

(...) Hey Philo, thanks for the advice. I have commited the part to the parts tracker. I am not sure about the Needs Work notice. I just added a '(needs work)' to the name and a little comment section in the file. I hope thats ok. Rolf (14 years ago, 30-Aug-10, to lugnet.cad)

  Re: "Lego Minifigures"?

(...) No, they were. There was a European polybag and a different North American polybag. The two sets of bags came with two different secondary barcodes, so if you had the US codes and bought some random minifigs from Europe, you wouldn't be able (...)   Re: "Lego Minifigures"?

(...) Actually it is true. They reappeared last week ;) Tim (14 years ago, 30-Aug-10, to lugnet.general)

  Re: "Lego Minifigures"?

(...) Actually, that's not true. A number of Target stores here in .au still have plenty of stock of Series 1. (14 years ago, 30-Aug-10, to lugnet.general)

  Re: "Lego Minifigures"?

(...) They certainly were available. And the US even had sufficient stock unlike Australia where they sold out of most Toy Stores in less than a week. Tim (14 years ago, 29-Aug-10, to lugnet.general)

  Re: "Lego Minifigures"?

(...) This is not so wierd for LEGO as you might think. On this side of the pond we've became pretty much used to the subject of North-American exclusives, amongst others the nice blue version of the "My Own Train" Passenger Wagon from set (URL) (...) (...) You can try to replicate the sun with just one bright light source that is very far away, but the light will not scatter the way it does on the surface of the Earth. That, and if you have ever tried to take a picture of LEGO outside on a very (...) (14 years ago, 29-Aug-10, to lugnet.cad)

  Re: "Lego Minifigures"?

(...) Thanks! So these weren't (officially) available in North America, then? Seems weird to do a regional release for something like this. (14 years ago, 29-Aug-10, to lugnet.general)

  Re: 87926 White Cylinder Half 3 x 6 x 6 with 1 x 2 cutout

(...) Hi Rolf, Maybe you can submit it to Parts Tracker with a Needs Work notice? It certainly looks good enough for many uses! Philo (14 years ago, 29-Aug-10, to lugnet.cad)

  Re: "Lego Minifigures"?

(...) These are known as collectable minifigs, and were sold "blind" in non transparent polybags. There was a barcode trick though, permitting us to dertermine wich figure it contained. Two series of 16 different figures each have came out in shops (...) (14 years ago, 29-Aug-10, to lugnet.general)

  "Lego Minifigures"?

I recently found "(URL) which shows twelve "Series 1" Lego minifigures of various kinds. Neat! But I can't find these available to buy anywhere on "(URL) or in fact any mention of them on "(URL) itself. What gives? I see the figures available on (...) (14 years ago, 28-Aug-10, to lugnet.general)
