Thats the result of several things, but mostly the reflectivity of the colors
Im using. When I have no background or floor like these images, there is
nothing to block or scatter the area lights and HDR lights I use so you get
bright reflections in areas of direct lighting. I designed this lighting for
different kinds of renders with backgrounds, so it doesnt look quite right
here. Basically, you get the look of an over-lit subject. I suppose I could
reduce the gamma.
By the way, I posted several more images last night.
