Depends on the model. Some models I can "see ahead" enough to change the order
to make it easier to build virtually. But with a model this big, I mostly
follow along with the instructions. The file does NOT have instruction steps
though because the parts are not in order. For example, when I'm going to add a
part at Y=-128, I first select another part at the same level and than add a new
part. This gives the new part a high probability of aligning without extra
work. All of my grids are set to Technic values (Y=10) instead of System plate
valuse (Y=8), so plates always have to be adjusted 2 LDU. Also, when I'm going
to add a common part like a friction pin, I just find another friction pin
nearby and copy-paste it. Fast for me, but it puts the parts all out of order
for instruction purposes. They could be resorted by sorting by Y in MLCAD, but
this is not very accurate for Technic models building order.
