I agree with Gary on the 1119 - it is probably the most valuable parts pack out there, just because of the rare parts it contains. However, I doubt it is the rarest - I think some of the old 60s parts packs must be rarer, and its likely that one of (...) (25 years ago, 12-Aug-99, to lugnet.general)

Nice work. That is a very simple solution to the decoupling problem. Most other attempts (add this is what I was thinking of doing) pry the cars appart. Gary, one more thing I've noticed about the heads, there are really 3 different types.. if you look at some of the older solid stud ones, they are more squarish... the edges aren't as rounded.. I'm not sure if they came between the 2 you mention in (...) (25 years ago, 12-Aug-99, to lugnet.general)

I doubt this pack is really all that rare, but one of my favorites is the 5071 Large Wheel Set. This set contains two red locomotive wheelsets of the style that comes in the 7750 12V Electric Steam Locomotive (and as far as I know, only in the (...) Thanks Mark, I started that RTL thread about 7 months ago. And it was due to that 277 Fireplace set, whcih has 9 minifig heads (4 black, 5 red). And all of them are in the old "Type 1" minifig head style (no hole in top). It is interesting to note (...) (25 years ago, 12-Aug-99, to lugnet.general)

The nice thing about the Jambalaya project is that each participant is free to do whatever he or she feels comfortable with. A lot of personal ethics goes into the success of this. However, Selcuk, those were the old type of minifig head without the slotted hole in the stud on top of the head. For the true purists, AFAIK, there are no sets with the more modern slotted head in red. Of course they do actually exist; I'm sure (...) (25 years ago, 12-Aug-99, to lugnet.general)

Maybe I Just need a new set of batteries. I've made three bots in the last week all using three motors.
