I just realized that I'm going to be in DC on the 30th of July, and so unfortunately we'll have to reschedule the meeting to be the weekend before, to July 23rd. Sorry for the date change, I'm currently trying to find out if we'll be able to use the (...) (21 years ago, 9-Jul-05, to lugnet.org.us.smart)

Re: First Ever Juniorized Lego Part?

(...) I think the term "Juniorization" implies changes in a model's parts for assistance in assembly due to a lack of manual dexterity in the builder. Elements being juniorized by the LEGO Company seemed to occur when children who were too young to (...) (21 years ago, 9-Jul-05, to lugnet.general)

(...) Chris, as the person who 'funded' the railway construction and the mill, I can confidently say that the track is planned to turn away from the mill without risk it or the surrounding environment. ;-) Thanks, Jude (21 years ago, 9-Jul-05, to lugnet.org.ca.parlugment, lugnet.loc.ca, lugnet.trains, lugnet.town)

  Re: Avoiding motor stalls

Jordon, Its hard to say for sure, but it looks like you are losing torque in the gear conversions. The clutch is a good idea, but will still strain the motor when it comes to crunch time. There are two things that I can think of to help you. 1 - (...) (21 years ago, 9-Jul-05, to lugnet.robotics)

Re: need advice from lego gurus

Dan, If you are okay with it being further forward when it is raised than when it is lowered, you can use a rather simple but robust method of raising your gripper while keeping it parallel to the ground/floor.   First Ever Juniorized Lego Part?

I was wondering about what was actually the first ever occurrance of Lego "Juniorization"? That is not an easy question to answer, since it is partly a matter of interpretation, but this part from 1966 gets my vote... (URL) is the "4x8 Train Base (...) (21 years ago, 9-Jul-05, to lugnet.general)
