The starwars fans were pretty impressed.

I used the radio kit out of the supersonic RC. I needed the auxilary motor output so the thing can steer.

The forward control drives it forward. the paddels on the transmitter make it steer.

A differential on each motor, with axels geared together, parralelle but one diff has rotation reversed. It works well, one diff drives the two axels in the same direction, the other diff offsets the rotation on the same axels to make it steer.

It moves at about walking pace. Some parts dont fit the colour scheme which i would correct if i started building another one. i would also see what i could do to get the rockets to launch.

Cool! Hey did you try including the positional steering output and connecting it to a switch? You might be able to use the steering control instead of the aux if you can get that to work. Would probably require extra battery power on board too though.
