While up in the SF Bay Area over Chrismat I got a chance to visit the Niles Canyon Railway, with the help of Zonker. They had a Fairmont Speeder and a few trailers. Spencer, Very nice! The corrugated bricks are so much nicer looking when stacked with aligned seems! I really dislike the Santa Fe with the crossed seams. After seeing several very nice stockcar MOCs, I decided to try my hand. One of the criteria was to use a 6 x 24 train baseplate, as I have a bunch from LL grabbags. Hello all. I just wanted to share with you the start of my newest project. It will be a dock sceen to go with my Maersk ship. I just built 4 container cars and a Union Pacific engine. I'm surprised there has not been more discussion about the Thomas license. DUPLO Thomas shots (URL) is a considerable amount of DUPLO track in my house. Yesterday was the GWLTS-III (Great Western Lego Train Show) our third year of displaying Lego trains at Steam, The Museum of the Great Western Railway in Swindon (UK). Didn't the motor equipped trains use the plate-w/motor-hole? You can clearly see 3 6x16 plates in the photo. Comparing the box art to Brickshelf's 111 they certainly look to be the same - not knowing what a 115 looks like :-( Matthias (20 years ago, 20-Feb-05, to lugnet.trains)

Dear Lego, While watching my son put his train on the track I thought it would be great if LEGO made a level crossing that aligned the train on the track. Just looked at these recent pictures of train set boxes on Brickshelf: (URL) Looking at the pictures for 7750: (URL) (both inset pictures) and (URL) (bottom left picture) These pictures appear to show a larger train wheel, presumably a prototype for (...) (...) Thanks :-) I particularly like the fact that the effect is easier to achieve with Lego in 8mm scale than in HO or OO in 3.5mm or 4mm scale.
