New TECHNIC sets for Fall 2008 —Fernando A. Conchinhas Correia
Here they are! The new TECHNIC sets for fall 2008, although still without images :(. Read more info at TechnicBRICKs. (URL) (16 years ago, 31-Dec-07, to lugnet.technic)

Re: New TECHNIC sets for Fall 2008 —Allan Porter
(...) Hmmm they sound like they could be good. Ill have to wait till I see some pictures. The excavator and telescopic handler are good opportunities for longer pneumatics and power function based pneumatic control valves and the off roader could (...)          Re: New TECHNIC sets for Fall 2008 —Fernando A. Conchinhas Correia
(...) That's one of my dreams too! To have PF based pneumatic control valves :). And longer pneumatics, why not!? Lets keep fingers crossed, LEGO is certainly reading ;).          Re: New TECHNIC sets for Fall 2008. Box images leaked! —Allan Porter
(...) However now that I have seen them I am quite dissapointed and I can't see me buying any of them. It is very good to see them investing in new part designs but this is such a cop out. If they had longer pneumatics (powered by air) then that (...) (16 years ago, 6-Jan-08, to lugnet.technic)

Re: New TECHNIC sets for Fall 2008. Box images leaked! —Fernando A. Conchinhas Correia
Yes, I would prefer real pneumatic cylinders too! And longer like these. It seems a way to enable "easy" motorization of these elements, instead of developing a new PF pneumatic valve electrically controlled. Perhaps also a cheaper approach... I (...)           Re: New TECHNIC sets for Fall 2008. Box images leaked! —Myles Barrett
Personally I am really quite enthused by the linear actuators, for me the actuators represent a new variant to the lego system that will enable significantly better positioning than with pneumatic cylinders and will also not suffer from the (...)            Re: New TECHNIC sets for Fall 2008. Box images leaked! —Steven Lane
(...) The irony is that the linear actuators would be the perfect solution for building a self leveling telescopic loader. To expand the telescopic parts simply turn both inputs by the same amount. (16 years ago, 8-Jan-08, to lugnet.technic)

You summed up absolutely all my feelings regarding the new sets. Looks like this year will be good for my wallet. All of the large technic sets of the 90's destroy this crap. (16 years ago, 9-Jan-08, to lugnet.technic)

(...) I can't beleive it. Lego are so cheap they haven't even changed the colour of the hubs! They're still yellow, which isn't even a Misson to Mars colour as far as I know.
