Okay, think Crimson Skies and imagine the grapple or hook system you find in
the blimps. Something along those lines might work. Do you remember the
scene from “Aliens” with the dropship? Then a grapple system which captures
the fighter and draws it up into the belly of the carrier might be
interesting. Difficult, but interesting.

I don’t know any of those references, but it sounds cool. Yeah, I was thinking
of a grapple system as well. The problem is, you’d need several, or one very
movable one. Where is the grapple system going to grip on your model? You
don’t want a nuke accidentally setting off ;)

I imagined I would want a carrier like Dan Jassim’s but maybe a belly opening
blimp-like carrier would work? If I could combine the B-Wing “whadya-call-
it” gimble(?) system with a rotating cockpit..... Way out of my current
league here. But worth exploring.

‘Current League’ I’ll take that as a hint that you’ve got much more in store
and you’re going to move up a few rankings.

P.S. If you come up with a good grapple design, I’d like to see it. I’m
