Well I've never truly been in or out of a dark age that I can pinpoint.
In some ways I am currently in a dark age in that about a year and a
half ago I left for college and left LEGO with my youngest brother at
home. Despite the fact that I have several interesting older sets
amongst the LEGO, I have never had the time or access to grab hold of
that LEGO.
See technically the LEGO isn't mine - only about 1/3 - 1/2 is mine, I
can't really claim it except for some key sets that I own that I haven't
yet gotten.
I am currently a big-time "starving student" and do not have any
resources to spend on LEGO, and very little time to spend on LEGO.....I
am what model railroaders would commonly refer to as an "armchair model
railroader" - or - in this case, an armchair LEGO enthusiast (although I
AM also an armchair model railroader).
So for this particular moment in time, I guess I would say that I'm in a
dark ages - although I feel that the fact that I keep up on the LEGO
scene by reading LUGNET and so on, maybe shows that I'm not really in a
dark ages. I would say that the cycle will probably continue except
for the fact that I echo many other's views that the LEGO product is
going straight down the crapper. All I know is that there is hope in
Technic and esp. mindstorms.
