For the rope barriers I used 1 1/4 inch rigid PVC conduit, it is used for built in vaccuums. One end is female, they are 10 feet long. I used grey, because the white ones in St Paul were so old and dirty they were almost grey! White would be much (...) (24 years ago, 30-Dec-00, to lugnet.org.ca.nalug)

As far as track, I have 7 pair of switches, 2 of the crossovers and atleast (but not a lot more than) 190 curves and 150 straights. I forgot to mention that we could have almost used 14 for GETS 2000, remember we butted one end up against the other train display, so we didn't need a barrier on that side. I didn't understand that TLG was supplying the track for the play area. If it falls through, another possibility for the play area track, is to use my old grey 4.5/12V track.
