1 - a technique I've been using lately, it is less disruptive, but in this case
since it's not working, I'm saying something.

I would actually really appriciate if you DID say something every time you force
it, just because otherwise, a thread will just disappear as far as NNTP/SMTP
users are concered.  If you do let people know you moved it, then at least if I
still want to follow a thread, I know where to look.
