BUT! That's not what he's saying. He is saying that the club should not
*AS A CLUB* support any special interest group, because it opens a can of worms.
If you support a christian cause, then you also must support a muslim cause
(should they ask), or you're being discriminatory. Ditto for any other
recognized religion, including some fairly wacko cult groups like
Scientology.(1) Once you support one special interest group, you have to
support anyone who comes calling, or you are partisan and/or discriminatory.
Look past the personal bias (both his and yours), and see what he's saying.
