I share your concerns Richard, but is the press not just giving the public what they want? If Mr Rather were to be more critical, would the public just go elsewhere? With the high humidity on that little island, I remember most of it gone 10 seconds after getting out of the shower. I'm sure it was filtered to some degree, just not to the drinking water standards. All the statistics said was that: "51.1 percent said that the aim of the Intifadah is to liberate all Palestinian land (historic Palestine) as opposed to 42.8 percent who said the Intifadah's aim is to end the Israeli occupation." There is a slice-of-life article in the New York Times 6/11 about public restrooms in the subways. There is talk of hazard suits and padlocked doors.
