This was already posted on FBTB, but I didn't see it here. The sale is 75% off
the entire stock of Star Wars items sold in the Toy and Sporting Goods
departments, and runs through June 3rd. However, the sets haven't been coded to
come up 75% off automatically, and it took about 5 minutes to convince the
not-so-friendly Ames personnel to give me the discount:
"Why aren't these discounted? They're Star Wars, and they're in the Toy dept."
"They're just not."
Anyway, the selection was not so great. My Ames in Baltimore had a few X-wings
and Tie/Y-wings, mostly Episode One stuff like Flash Speeders and Podracers,
but none of the new sets. Good luck!

| (...) I had the same experience, although it took 10 minutes and a call to the manager to get me my discount. The service desk clerk attempted to tell me that it was just "figures and stuff", even though the ad clearly stated all SW items in Toys or (...) (24 years ago, 30-May-00, to lugnet.market.shopping)

| Hi All, Well I went to the local Ames in Wilkes-Barre and found a sign up stating that the Star Wars Lego products were not part of the sale. So I e-mailed Ames customer service with a disappointing comment about it. And I am shocked. A little over (...) (24 years ago, 1-Jun-00, to lugnet.market.shopping)

I snagged 5 7115s, 5 7144s, 2 8002s, 12 7111s, 4 7101s, 7 7110s, 8 7128s, 5 7104s, 2 7161s, 4 7124s, 2 7134s, 3 7180s, 2 7140s, 3 7151s, and 2 7150s. Total Price? $263.91!! Woohoo!! (...)
