Sigh...yes, that's an impressive stack. I hope you're planning to build, suh! ;)
I've had to put most of my back sets in storage because of this haul. Methinks the
fire sale will begin sooner than I'd planned...

Yep, they're always ready to blame the computers. Nice tactic to use, always make sure
the person on the other side of the counter thinks it's you and them against the
world. Adversarial or confrontational behaviour just makes it harder, so find a common
foe.

I wonder why? :)

Before Christmas, the K-marts here were blowing out SW Lego at 50% off or more--they
forgot to take down signage from one sale before the new one started, so they allowed
me to double-dip after a little bit of sweet talking.

I won't cough on this one, because I stayed firmly in Northwestern NJ. (Sorry Jeff)

I'm not surprised. If I offer any up, it'll be either as parts (which usually get
more) or as a straight-sale at below retail price, aimed specifically at people in
parts of the world where these things are just hideously expensive--especially Japan,
the UK, and Aus/NZ. That way I get more than I would in the US, and the buyers pay a
lot less than their retail--even much less than US retail--and the balance of
availability is in some tiny way redressed. (Actually, it's not, because the inventory
consumption still only shows up in the US--thus saying to TLG that US sales are worth
every penny denied somewhere else. Sigh.)
