BSB now at LS@H, pre-order for A$149.95, delivering from October 31.

That is an absolutely beautiful price in my opinion.  I was expecting to
have to pay a good $250 for it.  As soon as I have the money, I'm getting
that one, and the ISD.

I had it pegged at about $300, personally. Don't know where I got that one from.

Now, do I get the RBR (Rebel Blockade Runner, I've already got the other
RBR) or the BSB and the Black Falcon's Fortress at the end of the year?

Decisions, Decisions...

Well...A search the library of useless information shows the following info:

The "Dark Shark" [what most people mistakenly refer to as the "Black Seas
Barracuda"]:
1989: released, unsure of price
1990: $199.95
1991: $239.95
1992: $239.95
re-released:
2002: $149.95

The rerelease is definitely as "Black Seas Barracuda", even in Australia :-)

Italian Restaurant [mistakenly referred to as "Breezway Cafe"]
1990: $39.95 [released in this year]
1991: $47.95
re-released:
2002: $34.95

Again, the original US name is right for the rerelease.

Eagle Crest Castle:
1986: $49.95 [released in this year]
re-released:
2002: $74.95

Guarded Inn:
1986: $28.50 [released in this year]
re-released:
2002: $39.99

So what does this tell us?

Well, probably nothing, but based on these prices it's probably better to
vote for either post 1990 sets or non-castle sets for re-release...and even
if you don't, at least the re-release prices aren't too extravagent, so
maybe just buy re-releases of sets and wait for the re-release of any new
set to save money :P

Oh yes...and it shows that LEGO use the Seppo names for sets instead of the
names they originally gave the sets.

Maybe... I wonder if our originals were direct translations from the Danish,
and they lost a bit in the translation?

[waiting for the re-release of 7124: flash speeder...or another reasonably
priced set with brown cap...the Brictorians need them :)

And who will be really dissapointed if we miss out on Adventurers in the
orient or starwars [mini-fig or nano-fig scale]...and if we get basketball
instead I'll be REALLY Ticked off.

There'll always be S@H if we get desperate... but no % off sales there...

Cheers

Richie
Quester for various things at reduced prices
