I remember the late 80s was right about when I got into lego. I always
loved lego, particularly space (I was overjoyed when they released the
visors on the space dude's helmets). When the pirates series was release I
just about had a spaz out. They were the single greatest lego ever invented
(for play value at least). And even though I only had around five
"governors" they always seemed to beat my ~15 pirates, who even had their
own big base. Hmmm. The good ole' days. :)

| (...) Haha. Yeah, I was that soldier. I remember looking at the Lego shelves during the late eighties and nineties and thinking much the same thing. Maybe I was just trying to justify my lack of interest. Now I'm actually building with them again (...) (22 years ago, 10-Oct-02, to lugnet.loc.au)
