That is an absolutely beautiful price in my opinion.  I was expecting to
have to pay a good $250 for it.  As soon as I have the money, I'm getting
that one, and the ISD.

I reckon $250 would have been overpriced (considering a $100 to $110 RBR as
an alternative). The BSB is very nice, but (slight pause whilst I don my
flame proof suit) it's not twice as good as a RBR.

These reissues are indeed good value...

Indeed ! If that's what development costs, Lego should forget releasing new
sets, just cycle through old ones. No nasty new parts to try and think up uses
for ;^)

Compare:
Black Falcon Fortress $74.95, 421pcs (17.8cpp)
to
King Leos Castle $195, 524pcs (37.2cpp)

KLC was available for less for certain periods.

And:
Black Seas Barracuda $149.95, 896pcs (16.7cpp)

...plus postage, unless doing a multiple order or...seeing it on a local shop
shelf (?)

Red Beard Runner $189.95, 698pcs (27.2cpp)

All using S@H prices... certainly RBR's can be had for a lot less... and at
$100 (14.3cpp) are a pretty good deal.

Don't forget the Sopwith Camel and Red Baron for cpp comparisons.

(...) Would anyone be offended if I made a comment like 'just like voting for the National Party' or 'just like living in New Zealand' here? Yes? Good thing I didn't make such a comment then ;-). (...) But even at half price, it wasn't *great* (...) (22 years ago, 10-Oct-02, to lugnet.loc.au)
