Not to go off on a tangent, but I would say that that is a large part of many
people's complaints about Bionicle.  Most (all?) Bionicle pieces do not directly
connect to traditional bricks and plates.  This makes them generally useless to
most of us.  Two caveats:  1)  I know that many clever builders have found ways
to incorporate very odd pieces into "traditional" brick-and-plate creations,
e.g. Jon Furman's Alphabet Wing project, but I'm saying in general.  2)  I've
got no complaint with Bionicle myself, I just recognize that it is a seperate
line than the things I want to buy and build.  To promise us Castle and give us
Bionicle is a bit disappointing.
