I was looking at part 6233 tonight and noticed a number of primitives that are inlined. I restored the part to the non-inlined state and did not notice any change in the part. As there is not one listed in the part header, is there a reason for the (...) (22 years ago, 18-Oct-02, to lugnet.cad.dev, lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

I've been using the Wedge Plate 2 x 4 parts for some time now but has anyone made or is currently making the Wedge Brick 2 x 4 parts? I searched LUGNet and the PT but could not find them. There really isn't any default location for it on Windows because I don't provide an installer, just the executable (or source) in a zip file. I suppose the canonical (...) Don, That really sounds like a great idea. Have you sent Frederick an email about it? He's really on the ball on this sort of thing and always very quick to return an answer. I think that ldraw-mode is the best program for working with bendable (...) (22 years ago, 12-Oct-02, to lugnet.cad.dev)

Philo, I like your idea of multiple resolutions. It could save a lot of space. I think I that I don't have a minimal solution to the number of segments used. I was comparing the various hoser programs last night when I realized there's no command to launch an external ldraw viewer program from within the emacs ldraw-mode. Hi Philo, I finally got my tangent between two circles code working! I can have two or more pulleys (or pins), with them inside or outside the rubber band, and band crossings. It's not just you, LP. We're all having the same problem. Moreover, the parts finally got a good lamppost. Since I use lab computers, I have to download for each one I sit at. Philo, Boy, were you right, the triangle synthesis took a 3K file and made a 2M file. Unpalatable. I switched lsynth over to use LDRAW parts for synthesis. Now that 3K file ends up to be 500K, still much larger, but certainly better than before. (...) (22 years ago, 6-Oct-02, to lugnet.cad.dev)

Hi Philo, I've been working on an algorithm that uses less triangles, and plan to add a option where the hoses can be made up of hose segments. Hose segments should reduce file size, but probably decrease quality. I've been beyond the edge of my (...) (22 years ago, 4-Oct-02, to lugnet.cad.dev)

Hi, I wanted to mention that LPub is useful even if you are not working on a book, or web pages. It can be used to make building instructions from other peoples' DATs. I've been thinking of a tool that creates an "Exploded View" with empty space between all parts. However a literal interpretation would be quite fun, too.
