No, I just keep source code I'm working with in a subdirectory off
projects. There really isn't any default location for it on Windows
because I don't provide an installer, just the executable (or source)
in a zip file. I suppose the canonical location on windows would
be "C:\Program Files\ldglite\ldglite.exe", but I'd have to recommend
against that because I really dislike the way spaces in the directory
name make it difficult to run the program from a command prompt.
Perhaps it's best to go with "C:\ldglite\ldglite.exe" unless someone
else has a better suggestion.
Actually, you might want to default to an entirely different viewer
program for Windows...

| (...) Fine, I'll use that. In the mean time, I advise you to put something like this in your .emacs file on your Windows system: (setq ldraw-viewer-path "C:/projects/ldglite/ldglite") This will override the default ldglite path. Fredrik (23 years ago, 13-Oct-02, to lugnet.cad.dev)

| (...) Well, MANY programs suggest that they want to be a subdirectory of the LDraw installation directory (although perhaps yours doesn't... at least LDLite, LDAU and MLCad used to if they don't any more I dunno). That directory by default is (...) (23 years ago, 13-Oct-02, to lugnet.cad.dev)

| (...) Good idea! Thanks, I have incorporated your code in LDraw-mode now. I added the ability to change the default parameters passed to the viewer, in case anybody wants to do that. I have considered adding this funcion myself, but I never saw the (...) (23 years ago, 12-Oct-02, to lugnet.cad.dev)
