Ya know Eric, this is a really cool bot, but for you it's the same old same
old. Different fingers, different eyes, different color, but still the same
nonetheless.  You've perfected the Sophie-Style bot, why not try something
new?

Wow.

It seems that I started quite the little brouhaha with this post.  Let's see,
where to begin...

First, this is by no means a negative critique of this MOC. I don't get why
people think that.  Eric, you are an awesome builder of bipedal bots.
Probably better than any other living person at them, I'd wager.  But that's
the thing. If you applied your skills to a train, or a ship, or something
(the Moonbase support bases are a great start, for example) I know you could
do awesome things.  I understand that bipeds are what you've been doing for
16-17 years now, and what you're known for.  That's a lot of time dedicated
to your art. Why be <http://news.lugnet.com/build/mecha/?n=11944 Thomas
Kinkade>, perfecting only one style of art, when you can be
<http://www.artchive.com/artchive/P/picasso.html Picasso>, and innovate many
different styles.

If you want to be Kinkade, fine, that's your prerogative.  And it's perfectly
acceptable.  I just happen to prefer seeing artists diversify their styles.

I guess this is what I get for attending to personal matters and leaving the
Internet for a couple of days.  A flamewar starts over a relatively innocuous
(I thought) post.

If you continue to dislike me because of my "immature backroom behavior"
(what is this, 4th grade?) then that's your prerogative too.  I can be a
right a-hole at times, I know.  It's the way that I am.  If you can't see
through that to what used to be, I thought, a pretty cordial relationship,
well that's fine too.

Enjoy building bots, although I know you could be doing so much more.

Adrian

Arrrrggg, the only thing I can say is thank you.
AND
One day I'll put my thoughts out, maybe then it might be easier.
I'm no mind reader, but I also need a chance.
