I know you probably dont value my opinion any more than the other people that
have posted in this thread, but it certainly does appear that you think you
*are* beyond critique.

Well, Ive made suggestions to Eric a few times, especially via e-mail, and he
was quite happy to hear them and discuss them.
Most people are very open to critiques, the problem comes when the critic
doesnt now what the hell they are critiquing.
Lenny, Adrian, and Dave dont see to care for the type of complex, geared robots
Eric creates... How in the world can they then critique something they are
apparently blah about.
|
Dave and Lennys posts were polite, but honest expressions of their opinions,
which you basically dismissed as personal insults. Lenny mentioned some good
points and gave clear suggestions for areas of improvement...which should be
the most useful part of the post for you. Its impossible to go on and on
about how great things are in a MOC, and more productive to mention how it
could be even better.
|
Well, again, when they profess to not care much for Erics type of construction
and their posts seem to relate to outside conflicts (such as Lenny + Eric +
SciBrick, whatever thats about), then I think they dont have the right to just
come out of the blue and slap him indirectly by criticizing something he cares
so deeply about.

Why bother requesting feedback if you plan on ignoring it?
|
HES NOT IGNORING ANYTHING.
I suppose you are such an avid follower of the build.mecha forums, Bram, to know
all the times Eric has ignored criticisms. I find your comments as useless as
Daves, since you yourself said a long time ago that you thought mecha were
pointless MOCs to build since apparently its just either two legs, plus a torso
and arms, or six legs and a top frame. Right? Correct me if I am wrong. I am 90%
sure you said that years ago. You certainly havent built any mecha since that
biped black one, years and years ago...
Anyways, why dont you try to make a suggestion, just to test him?
