Ya know Eric, this is a really cool bot, but for you it's the same old same

Um, yeah, and I think your bikes are always the same...Nyehh.

But seriously...  Adrian, my jaw dropped when I read this (above).  Sorry to
jump in here out of the blue, but your post sounds really mean regardless of
whether it's true, which I doubt it is.  Maybe I'm biased, being a huge fan
of Eric's work (and yours as well, for that matter) and so I love seeing new
iterations of older ideas.  As MarkN pointed out, Eric has made numerous
improvements.

Why the negativism?  It seems to me that it only hurts other people when you
post purely negative commentary.  I've always hated the phrase "If you can't
say something nice, don't say anything at all," but maybe there's an ounce of
truth in it?

If you'd said something like that about one of my MOCs, I'd feel pretty hurt.

Seeing this here, I'd also feel less welcome in posting new MOCs in this
group.  I think you should think about that a little bit.

Peace out,

Thank you Todd. Admittedly, although I have quite a frustration factor with Mr.
Drake, I do hope to figure out how to avoid these kinds of problems.

Fact is I don't know how. I just sat down on x-mas day started building. None of
us should be so consumed or worried about what other people think as to let it
inhibit what we want to build. It is for the pure act of creativity that I
cleaned my desk off and began to build again.

To that end, I will always be encouraging of other people's efforts, no matter
what.

Oh I don't know what I'm saying, I just wish this kind of thing wouldn't happen.
I'd rather we were all closer and worked towards keeping LUGNET, "The
friendliest place on the Internet." Of course not if you have been building in
the same style for over 20 years and some people don't get it!

For the record, I am not beyond critiques. Just please have some respect for my
building choice. I have a long road to explore. The possibilities are endless.
