Joint technology is what sets mecha building apart from other styles. Eric does what he does well. His gearing and joint tech change with each model. Hey, Soren, great weapons here, both the compact SMG and the cannon. I like the arm shield as well, and this mech looks very dynamic from the back. I really like the sliding seat on angled rails, like a fighter plane's ejector seat. Very well done. (The grooved bricks and sliders are really fun parts to use.) Here are some technique tidbits: The torso is built around the main gun and the structure needed to extend it. This was a very fun part to design. The gun is mounted on a backing which is two bricks thick. Little 1x2 slider tabs extend horizontally (...) (20 years ago, 3-Jan-05, to lugnet.build.mecha)

(URL) used a lot of new construction techniques for this evil, corrupted version of Giant Robo. It's an anti-robo robo, a Monstrobo. It was all about rounded shapes and gigantic concealed weapons - so giant that it looks like they couldn't possibly (...) (20 years ago, 3-Jan-05, to lugnet.build.mecha) !!
