I always thought a good idea or rule of thumb would be to have one per season, so that would be 4 per year. One for each corner of the continental USA, if we are talking Fests for the Americas. However, with the space the PDX folks have, I can see (...) (19 years ago, 10-Dec-06, to lugnet.events)

If anything, the outreach effect of these cons is amplified by the frequency, drawing in even more AFOLs to "the brick" - folks that want and need the inspiration provided by seeing an incredible MOC first-hand. I see your point. Trouble is I don't have a 2nd RCX nor any real rotation sensors. Using the speed computers doesn't allow me to know if I'm rotating forwards or backwards. Still the device is impressive enough to give it a try. I'll just go with (...) (19 years ago, 9-Dec-06, to lugnet.robotics)

It is getting cold here in Maryland - time to stay in and play with Lego. In the last couple of years there have been some great MOCs being made.
