The problem moving pieces at strange angles is that the default movement is in x, y or z direction - not in the direction that they are rotated. Remember also that you don't have to (...) Thanks for the prompt reply. :) I am aware of the rotate buttons, and have been using them allot. I even reset the button for the axis I'm working with to step 1 instead of 15, to try and get it lined up. It's still not working. :) To give you an (...) (...) If you're using MLcad, there should be a toolbar with six circular arrow buttons in it. Those arrow bottons will rotate the part along all three axes. Ken, this sounds like a bug in MLCad. I'll investigate that. The other point is that the next version of MLCad will support the offical color definitions based on the LDraw.org color standard. In the mean time you can do the following (so far I (...) (20 years ago, 11-Jul-04, to lugnet.cad.mlcad)

Can anyone answer this question ? Why does this happen. If I use a colour from the "More" section of the colorbar toolbar eg; Sand Green (378) or Sand Blue (379) that show as their correct names when I view them in the parts section at the top of (...) How does that scan_order thing work? I've added three more paths in mlcad.ini, but the parts in these folders don't show up anywhere in MLCad. BUT, it is far easier (IMO) to hand-transform row/column LDraw commands than the equivalent column/row commands (like I've had to do in POV-Ray code). (...) (...) Yes, that looks right. The other thing that messes me up with LDRAW matrices is the row, column ordering. The ordering in LDRAW files is not what I would have chosen, so I always have to look it up. From the old FAQ: (URL) type 1's format is: (...) Hi Dave, I think you have the Stud-Mode option set to Coarse in MLCad. Change this to Normal and you will see the correct studs. This option set to Coarse will replace all stud*.dat primitives with stu2*.dat wich are low-res and thus rendered (...) (20 years ago, 27-May-04, to lugnet.cad.mlcad)

While viewing my inventory of some, let us say, "custom" parts, I noticed that certain primitives are not completely recognized in MLCad's display window. Sorry, realised one of my problems, mental lapse lead me to use 75.dat instead of 77.dat. I must have done it right in the past beacause I got it to work! I have been making the custom length flex tubing (using 75.dat and 76.dat) for a while, I normally crate the length I want save it for future use as, for exampl 75_12.dat and import it into my model as a subpart to allow for use of the .mpd on other (...) (20 years ago, 27-Apr-04, to lugnet.cad.mlcad, lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

Hi, I just updated the MLCad.ini file accordingly to the latest LDraw.org parts update 2004-02. The .ini file defines the parts available in MLCad's minifigure generator. Hi Michael, I think that i found a little 'beauty' error / bug in MLCAD V3.00. While playing with MLCAD on the past Hobby Salon in Antwerp (Belgium), my club collegues added new colors to the color palette, the selection just after the Transparent (...) (...) It did for me. When MLCad found the refernce to 973p11.dat and asked if I wanted to upgrade, it changed all the "973p11.dat" references to "973p1a,.dat" references. Note the ",". -Orion (20 years ago, 6-Mar-04, to lugnet.cad, lugnet.cad.mlcad)

Hi, I do have a remark, witch is at the same time a request. I'm creating a commuter train with MLCAD, and generate a parts list. This list is a common .TXT file.
