I just converted my first engine to DCC yesterday and started playing with LDCC 1.01. LDCC is fantastic! Thank you, Mark! Okay I have noticed that here at Lugnet, the set number for the new Level Crossing is 10028, yet on Lego Shop@Home it is 10128! Even in Lugnet's set guide, the actual level crossing is listed as 10028 and 10128 as the same set ecept with 'question (...) (21 years ago, 9-Jun-03, to lugnet.trains)

I am proud to announce that the North Georgia LEGO Train Club (NGLTC) will be getting their own store front at the Discover Mills Outlet mall (same mall as the LEGO Outlet store) just outside of Atlanta. (...) Darn, I forgot to mention that to isolate the track take a sheet of paper. Standard photocopy paper works well. Cut it into quarter inch strips. Then place it between the track and you join it. All these polarity-switching solutions presume only 1 train. If you've got 3 trains, and each of them is hitting a block boundary at the same time, you're going to have a short no matter what you do. (...) An easy solution to this is to have two locomotives in the train, each tuned to the same DCC channel. If one loco loses communication, the other will push it through the bad spots... hey thanks... i didn't want to use the snot on top, but without the top of those long wedge slopes, there was the option of making it work, or buying the parts off bricklink. The latter I think... by having a truck long gap, the motor coasts across the gap but never shorts out from one wheel set to the other, once it hits the powered side again (even though the polarity is reversed) it just continues on. Cool inspection car! Definitely captures the look of the original, especially with the use of the curved wedges. It's hard to use those in a prototypical model, but you definitely got it. As for powering it, I don't know where you could stuff the (...) (21 years ago, 3-Jun-03, to lugnet.trains)

That's standard wiring, been done that way since I was a wee lad, there's no need to divide the reverse loop itself into two blocks. With (...) With 3 power blocks you can always switch the block the train is heading toward to be compatible with the block it is in so there is never a gap to cross. Once the (...) Yes, you can automate the reversing loops. In fact, using the RCX to do so should be fairly simple, except that it takes 2 of them to do it. Well, I just happen to have a DCC compiled RCX in my dufflebag and 3 converted LEGO motors (with engines that look remarkably similar to mine--oh wait, they were mine...)
