hey guys,

I studied all weekend and after a serious amount of trial and error, I have
a rendering that I'd like to share and get some feedback on.

here it is...

http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/elkane/Train/Vose-Car/render.jpg

this is done with the Jeroen's radiosity library2. I used ambient light and
2 actual lights.  I wanted to try the color library from lugnet (link
below,) but couldn't seem to get it to work right. I'm going to keep at it,
but if you have any advice on using them please let me know.

the other thing i need some advice about is the side grilles.  You'll notice
that the colors bleed together near the front of the car at the top of the
bricks.  I found that turning down the radiosity brightness made it happen
less.  But that seems to be going in the wrong direction for the whole
effect i am going for...

let me know what you think.

UPDATE Re: vose inspection car render

hey guys, the emails about the color libraries came all morning, and i'm glad to say that now I can use all the cool colors from (URL) well as the original colors from color.inc. This souped up render has replaced the orignial. Here is the link. (...) (21 years ago, 9-Jun-03, to lugnet.cad.ray, lugnet.cad.mlcad, lugnet.trains)
