Not liking that, I get home, take two straight pieces of track I have kicking
around, cut the metal such that there is a non-conductive gap just the length of
the two wheelsets.  Then I proceed to make a double reverse loop setup in my
living room (get pics up hopefully tomorrow).

Just so you know, if you want to accomplish the same thing without
sawing on your track, get some clear 3M tape and stick it on the inside
face of each rail.  You have to put some between the tabs connecting to
the next piece of rail, too.  You can adjust the length of tape
slightly.

The upside is that it's not a permanent change to your track.  The
downside is that is you use cheap tape or do a shoddy job, it'll rattle
your cars around a little.  Don't do this on curves, etc.

So we set up an impromtu layout (...) (21 years ago, 2-Jun-03, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto, lugnet.trains, FTX)
